Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Advanced Certificate in Health and Safety in the Workplace
 
Course Description

This course is essential for anyone who has responsibility for the management of health and safety, including managers, supervisors and senior safety personnel.  Successful completion of the course will enable you to manage health and safety in most businesses, develop auditing and monitoring programmes, design safe practices and procedures, liaise with enforcement officers, interpret legal requirements and train staff.

 
Entry Requirements
Possession of a qualification in health and safety such as the Intermediate Certificate in Supervising Health and Safety in the Workplace would be advantageous but is not essential.

How students will be taught
Students will experience a range of teaching methods including explanation/information from the tutor, group discussions, question and answer sessions, individual work and working with a partner or small group.
 
Assessment
Two assignments and a written examination set by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
