Course Description
The Certificate in Food Hygiene Awareness is a basic qualification appropriate for anybody wishing to have an awareness of food hygiene. It has also been designed to help the food and catering industries to provide training to a safe level for those who perform "low risk" tasks such as clearing tables, maintaining stores, "meals on wheels" and other such similar duties. This qualification is also relevant to employees working in food factories but not in "high risk" sections of the plant.

  • The need for food hygiene.
  • Food poisoning bacteria.
  • Hygiene procedures.
 
How students will be taught
Students will experience a range of teaching methods including explanation/information from the tutor, group discussions, question and answer sessions, individual work and working with a partner or small group.
 
Assessment
Multiple choice test provided by The Royal Society for the Promotion of Health.

£45 per person plus RSPH fees (currently £9.50 per person) plus VAT

Inhouse course for up to 20 people £450 plus RSPH fees (currently £9.50 per person) plus VAT

 
Other Information
