Course Description
A first level course incorporating fundamental food hygiene knowledge for all food handlers.

What the course will cover
  • Food poisoning.
  • Bacteriology.
  • Prevention of contamination and food poisoning.
  • Personal hygiene.
  • Premises, equipment and pest control.
  • Cleaning and disinfection.
  • Legislation.
 
How students will be taught
Students will experience a range of teaching methods including explanation/information from the tutor, group discussions, question and answer sessions, individual work and working with a partner or small group.
 
Assessment
Multiple choice test provided by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

  • £72.50 per person plus CIEH fees (currently £11.49 per person) plus VAT
  • In house course for up to 20 people £725 plus CIEH fees (currently £11.49 per person) plus VAT
 
Other Information
